The construction of a high-speed highway Moscow – Kazan, the reconstruction and improvement of the capacity of the BAM and the Trans-Siberian Railway, the construction of CRR are expensive projects, and according to the authorities, are aimed at ensuring economic growth.

In the context of the CRR, the newspaper quoted Leonid Azimov, Directorate for Transport Economics, Analytical Center, who said that “the CRR will only pay back if a modern and affordable logistics and warehouse infrastructure is built within 50–100 km of Moscow”.
