Hackathon 3.0

18—19 june 2016 at 10 a.m. | Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation

On 17-19 June, 2016 the Analytical Center in conjunction with the Open Government will be holding a hackathon for developers of mobile apps and web services based on open data as well as for data journalists and analysts: Hackathon 3.0.

The hackathon is a brainstorm style event aimed at promoting the sharing of new ideas in the chosen domain and getting them implemented directly at the venue where the event is held. For representatives of state authorities, the hackathon offers a unique opportunity to analyze demand for open data and to procure software solutions that utilize the open information published by various government agencies.

The contest helps kick start the process of generating ideas and developing prototype software solutions based on open data that can be used by state executive authorities, local governments and by business.

The hackathon is held as part of the qualifying stage of the II Russian National Contest “Open Data in Russia” that is being held from 27th April through 2nd December, 2016.

The kick-off event of the hackathon will be held on 17th June.
