Last year political decisions resulted in a situation that at the end of 2014 – early in 2015 food prices were growing swiftly. Official figures show that since the beginning of the year food commodities have got more expensive by 11.3%. However, the drop of retail turnover for 5 months accounts for 7.7% in comparison with the same period in 2014.

The need to maintain stable prices, as well as stimulation of domestic commodity producers’ development caused drafting of amendments to the law on trade activities regulations. Within the Round Table experts will review proposals to amend the legislation adopted by the State Duma of Russia in the first reading, as well as amendments proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

Representatives of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, as well as producers and representatives of the trade sector are invited to take part in the event.
