In accordance with the Decree of the RF Government dated January 23, 2015 №73-r an interdepartmental working group to monitor development in the socio-economic sphere and implementing a plan for sustainable economic development and social stability in 2015 was created. The main purpose of the interdepartmental working group is to ensure activities of the Government Commission for Economic Development and Integration in terms of the mentioned monitoring.
The key trend of socioeconomic and political development of Russia in 2014 was the overlap of several recessions, including the introduction of sanctions in the industry, the fall in oil prices, the currency crisis, the declining population of the working age, and so forth. The mutual influence of these trends affects different spheres of the Russian society. Of particular importance is the assessment of the impact of the economic crisis on the social and demographic situation, the analysis of possible negative consequences. In particular, the crisis affects the modification of the demographic situation and the population’s health status.
During the round table experts will discuss a wide range of issues affecting current and potential consequences of the crisis on the sociodemographic situation in Russia, as well as possible measures to minimize negative effects.
