Winners of the Contest on professional project management in the public sector 'Project Olimp' are announced

Almost a half-year of work, the application round and the elimination round, the hard work of assessors, hot disputes of jurors are passed, and winners of the Contest on professional project management in the public sector 'Project Olimp', namely public sector establishments which use project management, were finally announced. The high-profile award ceremony was held at the Analytical Center within the Conference 'Practical Application of Project Management in the Public Sector' that accomplished the Contest 'Project Olimp' by tradition.

Within the award ceremony representatives of 42 establishments as contest finalists took the stage. In total more than 100 public sector establishments took part in this contest.

While awarding the winners, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Experts Directorate of the Russian Federation Leonid Osipov mentioned that the Contest was very well-timed, important and useful. 'I experience firsthand, how hard it was to negotiate with assessors, proving the maturity level of the project management in the own structure, not to speak of the braveness to file the application to take part in this consent. I would like to thank all contest participants and winners. I think that it is necessary to continue holding the Contest and the Conference, as the development of the project management culture in the public sector is the most important task for all governing institutions,' said the official.

Contest winners in various categories:

The Saint Petersburg State Government Establishment 'Research scientific and project Center of the General Plan of Saint Petersburg' took the lead in the category 'Project activity management systems in executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.'

The Nizhny Novgorod Engineering Company 'ATOMENERGOPROEKT' became the best in the category 'Project management systems in government-owned corporations, companies with the public ownership and development institutions.'

The Department of Internal and Personnel Policy of Belgorod Oblast sidestepped all rivals in the category 'Organization and activity of project offices in executive authorities and activity of project offices in executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.'

The Department of the Nuclear Power Energy Complex Program Management of the Nuclear Power Energy Government-Owned Corporation 'Rosatom' was awarded in the category 'Organization and activity of project offices in government-owned corporations, companies with the public ownership and development institutions.'

In the category 'Complex project management system' the first place was shared between 'Sberbank of Russia' and the Directorate of Capital Investments Program Management of the Nuclear Power Energy Government-Owned Corporation 'Rosatom.'

The victory in the special category of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation 'Project management systems of the systemically important enterprise in the industrial sector' was dearly bought by the Business System Development Center of PJSC 'Severstal.'

The Conference 'Practical Application of Project Management in the Public Sector' is being held within 2 days, namely on 29-30 October, 2015. The plenary session and the presentation of shortlisted projects took place on 29th October at 10:00. The awarding ceremony took place in the afternoon, same day. The second day of the Conference was dedicated to expert discussions.
