The Expert of the Analytical Center Evgeniy Gasho spoke at the plenary session and took part in discussion in several sections of the COLD CLIMATE International Congress. The report of Gasho was devoted to sustainable buildings, energy efficiency and new resources for cities in cold climate.

'Modern life creates new challenges for cities and integrity of infrastructure is a key element of safe and effective development on many different continents. Soviet engineers managed to create an energy industry that not only was the core of the post-war reconstruction of the country, but also enabled implementation of an unprecedented industrial breakthrough. It is very important not to lose this experience, and to take it as a basis for a new generation of power energy systems, just as our experience of district heating was successfully mastered by the coldest European countries,' said the expert.

The Congress brought together experts from Europe and South-East Asia to discuss challenges of implementation of new efficient methods of energy industry development in different countries, including those with cold climate.
