'Project Olimp' Contest to End Next Week

The All-Russian Contest of professional Project Management in the Public Sector 'Project Olimp', which has been taking place in Russia since 1st June, is nearing completion. Assessors have done their work on inspecting design practices of the finalists. Winners will be announced on 29th October, during the Conference 'Practical Application of Project Management in the Public Sector', and yet the intrigue remains.

'102 public sector organizations sent applications to the first 'Project Olimp', which took place in 2014. In 2015, we see that the interest in the competition has increased: we have already received 149 applications from 47 regions of the Russian Federation, there were 97 members in the qualifying round and 42 of them were selected to participate in the final round,' said Olesya Safonova, the Head of the Department for Project Management in the Public Sector. Organizers are preparing for the main event of the project - the Conference 'Practical Application of Project Management in the Public Sector', which will traditionally complete the contest.

Within 2 days of the Conference, participants will present their achievements in the development of project management, will share their experiences and discuss working methods. On the first day, 29 October, the plenary session, the presentation of shortlisted projects and the awarding ceremony will take place.The second day of the Conference will be dedicated to expert discussions.
