Program of the Conference “Practice of project management implementation in the public sector” is announced

Program of the conference “Practice of project management implementation in the public sector” that will be held at the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation on October 29-30 is announced on the website of the contest “Project Olympus”. Conference will be the final stage of the Contest of the professional management of the project activity in the public sector “Project Olympus” that has been holding in Russia since June 1.

Plenary session and presentation of the projects that reached the final of the competition is planned on October 29 at 10:00. In the afternoon there will be a high-profile awarding ceremony and distribution of prizes to the winners.

The second day of the Conference is dedicated to the expert discussions. During the roundtable “Organization and activities of project offices in state structures. Experience and Perspectives” the results of the joint work of the expert group on organization of activities of the project offices in the public sector that operates within the Analytical Center of the Government of the Russian Federation will be summarized. Participants will share their experience of creation and operation of the project offices, discuss the risks and challenges of their organization.

During the roundtable “State standards and certification for project management in the Russian Federation”, the participants will get acquainted with the projects of new professional standard “project manager” and the State Standard of “Project Management” series. During the roundtable “Pitfalls of implementation of the best practices of project management. How to apply the experience of successful organizations in new conditions” the plans of creation of a system of distribution of best practices of project management in the public sector will be presented. The roundtable “The role and place of project management in the life cycle management of complex technical systems and facilities” will reveal the theme of management of such projects on the basis of Multi-D technologies and their integration with project activities control systems.
