An expert of the Analytical Center Evgeny Gasho spoke at the plenary session of the 5th Interregional Industry Conference on Energy and Energy Efficiency in the 21st Century, where he described the Analytical Center’s current work in the area of energy efficiency. He highlighted in particular that the Analytical Center is issuing bulletins with practical examples of implementing energy saving projects in the regions.

According to Mr. Gasho, “Today’s difficult situation requires new methods of economic stimulation, more accurate instruments of state regulation.”

The Conference participants agreed with the expert that infrastructure sectors bearing a significant social and environmental burden (including those supplying heat, water and electricity), cannot and must not be regulated by the long outdated market postulates of the previous century.
