Konstantin Noskov, Head of the Analytical Center, took part in the Fourth Global Think Tank Summit organized by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges in Beijing on June 26-27.
Over 800 participants of the Summit from 30 countries of the world – top officers, representatives of global analytical centers, experts, and scientists – discussed the global economic situation, probable ways of its development in the future, as well as issues of sustainable development in new global conditions.
In his speech Konstantin Noskov focused on creating and developing a universal system of global regulation, emphasized the important role of new development institutes – the BRICS Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank – in the context of world infrastructure investment, including in developing countries. “The investment strategy of new development institutes should be more flexible and be focused on investment in developing countries where current infrastructure financing lags very much behind their real needs," said Mr. Noskov. "As a Chinese proverb runs, 'If you want to be rich, you should build a road first'”. According to Mr. Noskov, new development institutes may become an efficient tool of financial partnership with a view to reduce infrastructural imbalance among countries and facilitate further growth of the global economy.
At the Summit, the Head of the Analytical Center also met with Li Keqiang, Premier of the PRC’s State Council.
According to Zhang Xiaoqiang, Vice President of the China Center for International Economic Exchange, the agreements reached at the Summit will become topics for discussions at the September’s UN General Assembly and the December’s Climate Change Conference in Paris. “All think tanks have strengthened their mutual understanding through wide exchange of ideas and thoughts”, summarized the expert.
