During the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Government of Arkhangelsk Region and the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation.
“We have many plans for the future, and they are all part of the vision that we and the Analytical Center have for Arkhangelsk Region. I am confident that the agreement is not simply a framework document, but one that will enable us to take practical steps towards the positive development of the region,” said Igor Orlov, Acting Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region.
According to the Agreement, the aim of the partnership is to support the integrated social and economic development of Arkhangelsk Region and raise its level of investment attractiveness.
The regional government is working consistently to improve the investment climate in the region. An important step in this area was the establishment of the Arkhangelsk Region Development Corporation in 2014 and the introduction of a regional investment standard which removed a number of administrative and other business development barriers.
