Pavel Shestopalov, the Head of the Directorate for Project Management in the Public Sector of the Analytical Center, took part in the VIII International Forum «ITForum 2020/Consolidation" in Nizhny Novgorod.
During his speech, Mr. Shestopalov noted that the "The Concept of regional informatization", approved by Dmitry Medvedev, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, contains a direct recommendation to use methods of project management in the implementation of projects in the field of information.
"We know that project management has long been used in commercial structures, where it was effective, but the governmental structures have certain specific features", said Shestopalov. According to the specialist, project management is a technology for organizing people to achieve certain objectives. "In other words, the project management is a way to "package" activities in a specific way with right deadlines and within budget pledged, while achieving objectives of companies and socio-economic development of the region.
