A workshop "Information systems for monitoring of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation in the framework of the Federal Law on strategic planning" took place in the Analytical Center.
The workshop was attended by Heads of analytical and information technology services of legislative and executive bodies of constituent territories of the Russian Federation.
Alexander Malakhov, the Deputy Head of the Directorate for Information Technologies, in his report "Situational centre as a tool for monitoring the socio-economic development of the region and its "pain points" spoke about possibilities of non-traditional approach to creating situational centers, about groups of tasks related to types of management, about short-, medium- and long-term planning, the hierarchy of goals, staffing structure, etc. As a specific example of assessment of socio-economic development, the expert spoke about the monitoring of the "May decrees" of the President of the Russian Federation.
Michail Gachegov, the Adviser to the Acting Head of the Analytical Center, presented the report on "Open data as a consolidated and unified source of information about the development of regions", where he spoke about benefits of open data, posted on the Internet, and their basic principles: open data is readable, is freely available, can be used for free and without restrictions. "Easy access to information is useful for every citizen. It increases the credibility of the state and stimulates the economic development", said Mr. Gachegov
