At year-end 2014 the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation was ranked among the top 50 think tanks of Central and Eastern Europe, also improved its position in the category “Think Tanks to Watch”.
In the world think tanks’ rating Global Go To Think Tank, which is compiled by the University of Pennsylvania, the Analytical Center was ranked 46th out of 50 among the Central and Eastern Europe think tanks, and also gained 2 points in the category “Think Tanks to Watch” - from 17th to 15th place.
"We are positive about our position in the rating and count on its further increase. Our goal for year 2015 is to improve our position among European colleagues and demonstrate our global competitiveness by taking our rightful place in the overall rating of the top 100 global think tanks", said the Head of the Department for International Cooperation Denis Ershov.
For the rating compilation The University of Pennsylvania experts’ study the work of more than 6000 research centers and non-governmental organizations around the world. The final report is comprised of several rankings in which think tanks are ranked by regions and focus areas.
The Analytical Center has participated in the ranking for the second year in a row. At year-end 2013 it was 48th (out of 50) among the think tanks dealing with social policy, and 17th (out of 80) in the rating of advanced think tanks.
