The 7th annual international forum “Polymers of Russia” was conducted in Moscow, supported by the Analytical Center. This is the major segment platform for large and medium-size polymer producers, the state, public associations and science representatives.

“By efforts of entrepreneurs, investors, raw materials suppliers and with the state support in the last 10 years a variety of new trends in polymer processing has appeared. New products appeared and they moved to the force in the market”, said during the opening speech the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsib.

State and foreign policy factors impact on the sector is strengthening now. The industry will have to organize its work under conditions of tax manoeuvres, huge exchange rate volatility, which may harden import deliveries of raw materials and facilities for sector’s needs.

The response of the polymer industry sounded through the forum participants speeches. “It is important to denounce our position to the government institutions, not just discuss it. This forum has been an efficient GR instrument, a megaphone for polymer industry consolidated position for a long period of time”, considers the Head of “Inventra” Anna Dautova.

The award ceremony of the exclusive independent reward “Polymers of Russia” was held during the forum, and the winners – Russian companies on polymer processing – got recognition.

This is the second year in a row when the Analytical Center supports the forum “Polymers of Russia”. In 2013 the Head of the Directorate for Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Pavel Svistunov presented one of the key reports during the forum plenary session.
