National Gas and Oil Forum is the first federal event on energy, which was organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation in cooperation with leading businesses and branch associations – The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, The Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, The Russian Gas Organization.
On October 22 with the assistance of the Analytical Center the plenary session “Russia and new commodity trade markets: strategy, forward planning and projecting of global energy production” took place. New oil and gas centers with vast primary resources and prospective markets of increasing demand were under study. Under the conditions of foreign policy restrictions Asia-Pacific Region predetermines a new profile of energy cooperation, said the Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation Alexei Texler. Natural gas market potential, increasing demand for LNG, shale revolution, Arctic shelf development will cause Russian energy strategy reconsideration.
