The Analytical Center together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation held a roundtable “Updating the list of energy efficient buildings and technologies, and development of proposals for the unification of tax incentives methods” as a part of their joint work on developing energy saving and energy efficiency norms.
During the event experts paid much attention to the methods of qualifying objects and technologies as energy-efficient. These methods are to provide forming and regular updating of lists of energy efficient buildings and technologies so that measures of tax support could be applied to economic entities using these technologies and equipment.
The Head of the Directorate for Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency of the Analytical Center Pavel Svistunov highlighted that the first draft of the methods drew a mixed response of experts. ‘It looked like a number of requirements which could hardly be used for evaluation so the draft was amended. Our current task is to examine the new version and propose further amendments’.
