Analytical Center announces the All-Russian Contest “Project Olympus”

Today the Analytical Center has launched a Contest titled “Project Olympus”. This is a first Contest in the field of professional project management in the public sector, which will become an annual event. The purpose of the Contest – is to support the organizations within the public sector, which actively implement project management, to identify and promote best practices, to improve the efficiency of public authorities.

Analytical Center is organizing the Contest with the support of public authorities and leading professional organizations in the field of project management.

Federal ministries, authorities, subordinated authorities, state companies, state corporations and development institutions, regional administrations, governments of the subjects of the Russian Federation, regional executive authorities and development institutions, local government authorities are invited to participate in the Contest. An exclusive evaluation method was developed based on well-established global evaluation criteria for the assessment of this type of activities. All reports regarding the Contest will be assessed by a qualified jury chaired by the First Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the Government of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov.

The evaluation will not refer to specific projects or programs, but to the project management system of organizations in general, namely the ability to effectively manage its implementation. Subject to evaluation can be the entire project activity, as well as its components, for example, the management of priority projects, project management of the state programs and others.

Announcement of the results of the Contest and awarding ceremony will take place on November 20 at the Analytical Center within the frames of the Conference “Project management practice in the public sector”.
