Analytical Center Experts speak at the 15th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. Deputy Head Mikhail Pryadilnikov moderated a round table on the implementation of the priorities of regional strategies, organized by the Ministry for Economic Development and the Analytical Center at the forum. The event featured discussions about the priorities of socio-economic development and strategic planning in the regions.
"The federal government has certain jobs," Mr. Pryadilnikov said," and this means, among other things, that we need to have a territorial development strategy which would define industry and infrastructure priorities. Regional governments must have clear guidelines to follow." The expert is also of the opinion that the strategy must define cross-regional priorities.
The work on the territorial development strategy is to be completed by late 2018. The document sets goals for the period until 2025 and aims to identify which competitive and specialization advantages each Russian region has, how to best tap the potential of each part of the country and make them attractive for business. That is what the participants in the round table were talking about.
Analytical Center expert Olesya Safonova gave a talk at a round table on professional qualifications, development of competencies and a culture of efficiency in project management as part of the discussion on the development of a draft Project Management Officer standard. The expert is a member of a work group which has been established in accordance with a Russian government resolution to develop the draft standard.
During the round table the participants showed a lot of interest in the wording of the main goal of professional activities, general work functions, job descriptions and qualification levels for project management professionals. It was also concluded that there must be a correlation between the qualification level and the education level of the professional, the complexity and scale of projects as well as about the importance of defining detailed job functions etc.
