"They are convinced at the Project office for the implementation of the national program of the Analytical center for the Government of the Russian Federation "Digital economy", that the Association's targets will be met with close cooperation with participants of the program implementation", Mesropyan told a TASS correspondent. He stressed that these targets are key to the agenda of the national program implementation and can be met only in close cooperation of the state, business and society.
Head of the Project office noted that parties can cooperate by including the Association in the active discussion of draft laws, regulatory acts related to regulation of processing and storage of big data on the sites of the participants of the national program.
"We support the creation of the Big Data Market Participants Association. The creation of such associations promotes the development of a balanced legal regulation of the sphere, regulatory technical and ethical standards giving an incentive for growth of digital platforms and services”, Mesropyan concluded.
As reported previously Megafon, Mail.ru Group, oneFactor, Tinkoff Bank, Yandex and Sberbank established the Big Data Market Participants Association. The Association will work towards the creation of common principles and standards for processing, storage, transmission and use of Big Data. Collaborative developments will provide a basis for a big data management policy for each member of the Association. The priority targets of the organization include designing a business-oriented market development strategy, improving the technical and operational efficiency of the industry participants’ interaction as well as forming a code of ethics to protect users’ interests.
